Hi, it is a really good news! Awesome. Could you tell me how it works? As I understand the charging will be started on demand (when I press start button). What will happen if the phone reaches 100%? Will it be stopped automatically? Is it possible to stop charging on demand to?

Yes you choose when it stops. Like if you wanted to charge only to 80% you just hold the back button down for 3 seconds to turn off the battery case.
As for if it stops charging when it gets to 100% I'm not sure. Some cases shut off by itself some don't. I assume this case will stop automatically

I've had several Zerolemon battery cases and have loved them. From the LG G3, G4, Note 4, and iPhone 6 and 7 plus

Thanks!

I just now noticed this note on the Amazon page:

Note:This battery case passthrough quick charge only.

Still awesome, though.

I'm guessing it will behave similar to the S8 ZeroLemon case (Not that these are deal-breakers or anything, just wondering):

  • No wireless charging.
  • It will interfere with NFC.
  • It is not waterproof.
  • No fast charging (except for passthrough).
  • Extra question: Will it interfere with a Tempered Glass screen protector?

@ZEROLEMON_OFFICIAL Am I right?

I just received the case yesterday. I charged it last night and got some use out of it at work today.

Here are my first impressions of the battery case:

The thing is big as I expect and heavy. I was afraid I'd feel it in my pocket but surprisingly I didn't. I think this is because I used to own a V10 which was also a huge, heavy beast. The TPU case is decent but nothing to write home about. The first thing I noticed was the cutout for the camera wasn't finished and had slight specs of the TPU material on from manufacturing. Not a big deal but worth noting. The TPU overall feels sora cheap, but flexes well. I have no grip issues as Mchi5 mentioned. When it is on the phone the TPU becomes rigid which makes it feel higher quality but I don't think that hardness will protect the phone well from drops.

The volume buttons are more than mush. You can't even tell you are pressing them except for the raised part of the case. The battery has a white layer that shows through the bottom of the TPU case where the charging port is so that is sorta unsightly.

That's for the look and feel. Charging didn't take too long from the factory charge. Using it was simple. Just slide it into the case and plug it in. Taking it out was a bit more awkward. The port is strongly in there (I'd say more than a cable). The first time I went to take it out I was afraid I'd break the port. You have to pull back the TPU at the top to pull the phone forward slightly then slide out the battery and phone. That seemed like the safest and easiest way to separate the battery from the phone.

At work I put it in around 50% and it charged up well up well. It got warm in my pocket (understandably) so I turned it off for a few minutes then resumed charging. I wish the power button for the case came out of the battery more so I didn't have to press into the TPU case as much. The sound was slightly better because the holes angled the sound towards me instead of out the bottom.

One feature I wish they had included was a kickstand because of the weight of the case and phone makes it harder to angle up against something.

That's all I have for now. I'll update if anything comes up.

According to their Amazon purchase page, they recommend using the OEM LG charger and cable. So I assume, yes, the case charges with USB-C cable.

@zerolemon please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.
