I've uploaded 1.6 NL FW for U20i (X10 Mini Pro) for Flashtool, for those of us who need to downgrade back from 2.1 to 1.6. I've already tried and managed to upgrade to RUS and SG 2.1 successfully.
U20i NL 1.6 >> http://www.mediafire.com/?gg5lptk6h5yoaks
mirror >> http://www.4shared.com/file/8_Z8f8F7/u20i16.html
Just extract the file and dump it in the \firmware folder for Flashtool and you're good to go.
Flashtool download and info for u20i can be found at > http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=826455
Hope this helps.

FLASHING YOUR X10 MINI PRO TO ANDROID 1.6 GUIDE
Got a request for a step-by-by step guide, so here it goes.
This guide is meant for Windows XP cuz (I'm not sure where the setting for Vista and
win7 are
), so just change the system path accordingly for other systems.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PREPARATION BEFORE FLASHING
1. Download the f/w and flashtool from above link.
2. Extract Flashtool to a folder (we'll be using \X10Flash for this example)
3. Extract the f/w to \X10FLash\firmware
4. Download 32bit JDK here (JDK, Not JRE!!) . Its usually the first download from the top>> http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
5. Install JDK. By default it will be installed to C:\Program Files\Sun\JavaDB
6. Copy this t your clipboard "C:\Program Files\Sun\JavaDB\bin" (including "")
7. Go to your Control Panel>System>Properties>Advanced>Enviroment Variables.
8. In the System Variables section(bottom half of the window), look for 'Path' and click 'Edit'.
9. Go to the end of the line and type ';' and paste the path from earlier "C:\Program Files\Sun\JavaDB\bin". Click OK to everything after that. This will tell windows where to look for the java files so Flashtool can run properly.
10. Restart your system. Shut down your X10 Mini Pro at the same time since it need to rest in off state for about 20-30 secs. If not some X10 Mini Pro will boot automatically when u plug in the usb cable.
FLASHING YOUR X10 MINI PRO
1. After the system restarts, go to the folder where u extract FlashTool and double-click X10flash.bat. Type 1 and press 'enter'.
2. Now while your X10 Mini Pro is still off, press the 'back button'(the one on the right most) and hold.
3. Need to do this fast cuz sometimes your PC Companion will interrupt.
4. While holding the back button on your phone, plug in your USB cable, and press enter on the dos prompt from X10flash.bat
5. The flashing will start running. If there's error, repeat from 11 (no need to restart PC). PC Companion sometimes interrupt the process before X10flash.bat starts its process.
6. The flashing process takes a while and when its done your will see a message saying that its completed.
7. Restart your phone.
8. GRATS! Your X10 Mini Pro is now running 1.6 NL Firmware.

UPGRADING TO 2.1 & CHANGING 2.1 TO OTHER COUNTRY/OPERATOR GUIDE
Once your phone is already on 1.6(or if already 2.1), getting your local or other version of 2.1 is relatively simple. Of course this works ONLY if the required version of 2.1 is already available. I recommend getting your own local 2.1 from seus, as opposed to flashing from other f/w because its cleaner. SEUS (SonyEricsson Update Service)will delete everything on your phone(not your sdcard) and install clean official f/w. So here it goes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHANGING YOUR BUILD.PROP TO DESIRED COUNTRY/OPERATOR
1. Root your phone if you haven't already done so. You can use the Universal Androot for 1.6 or Super One Click for 2.1 as attached. Just copy to you sdcard and use file manager or installer to run it.
2. Download and install Root Explorer from the market.
3. Go to this forum to locate the code for you county/operator. Its something like xxxx-xxxx. Note, its not the one that start with cdfxxxx-xxxx. Its the set of numbers after that.
4. After rooting your phone, run Root Explorer. Allow it to run as root when prompted.
5. Using Root Explorer, go to the \system folder. Click the "Mount R/W" button on the top right corner. It should now show "Mount R/O".
6. Locate build.prop, press+hold on it till a menu pops up. Select 'Permissions'.
7. Tick on 'Write' for 'Group' & 'others'. Click 'OK'. Now you can edit the file.
8. Click+hold again and this time select "Open in text Editor".
9. Look for xxxx-xxxx (it should be something like 1237-9318. can't remember the exact number). Replace that number with your local code that you get from step 3 above.
10. Once done, repeat again for the other 2 set of codes.
11. Click menu, save & exit.
12. Hold-click on build.prop again to open and confirm that your local codes have been saved.
13. Now you can shut down your phone. Start-up your SonyEricsson Update Service and follow the instructions.
UPGRADING/UPDATING TO LATEST ANDROID VIA SEUS
(delete the content in \Program Files\SE\Update Service\db if you had previously update to other versions of 2.1 vis SEUS.)(thanx to pabling19 for the info)
1. It will ask you to plug in your phone in flash mode. Hold the back button on the phone and plug it in. Release the back button.
2. Repeat step 14 if SEUS doesn't detect your phone. Remember, your phone need to be shutdown for 20-30 secs before u plug in in flash mode.
3. Now wait for SEUS to download the new 2.1 F/W and install them in your phone.
4. Once done, restart you phone. Do note that it will take time for the new OS to initialize. So don't panic if it's taking too long to boot.
5. All done. CONGRATS. Your phone is now running in your local 2.1 F/W.
Note: When you first run 2.1, it will be very slow. This is normal. After about 30-60 mins, the lag will disappear. This includes your wi-fi and 3G/HSPDA. SO don't panic if that happens. Some user reported that by taking out your battery and letting it cool down helps. I've never tried that so i can't confirm.
And 1 more thing, your won't see 3G on your status bar when u're using data connection. Instead, it will show G or H. G for GSM data, H for HSPDA(which is faster that 3G). From what I've read, 1.6 doesn't support HSPDA, but 2.1 does.
So now that all is done, have fun with your new 2.1 FW.
All that's left now is to wait for Binary and gang to crack the bootloader so everyone can start looking forward to 2.2!!!! GAMBATTE MINNA!!!
