Hi everyone, I just got an vooc/dash power bank bought from China and do you guys know if dash power brick with vooc cable can flash charge because my power bank's input is compatible vooc

The OPPO Vooc power bank is compatible with Dash, yes. You just need a micro USB to USB-C adapter. Someone at a OnePlus fan meeting in Cologne had it and it worked flawlessly. Where did you buy it in China? I couldn't find any offers on AliExpress in the last two years...

Confirmed, MOPOER Maipo 5, 10.000mAh charge in Dash for OnePlus (with OnePlus wire). 39$
Good seller.

Do you have a link to the offer?

Actually I bought 2 power banks (it was on taobao) , mopoer maipo 5 wich don't reach more than 2,5 amp and baozu smart1 wich provide real dash (up to 3,5 amp) and it's compatible with many other fast charge (like Samsung, huawei/honor, Qualcomm, mediatek)

Oh, okay, so no authentic OPPO power bank. I personally wouldn't buy third party charging accessories. Never!

The risk of it being slightly incompatible, overcharging, possibly inflaming or exploding the battery - sorry, just too high for me.

Both power banks charge in Dash mode in Oneplus.

Looks like dash-charging works great with Oppos VOOC car charger and DASH-cable.

Actually, vooc and dash are exactly the same. It's the vooc gen3 charger.
As you can see pictures, vooc ak775 and dash have the same code hk0504, and the same factory.
However, I ordered a vooc ak779 gen4 from china, since my dash charger lost.

You are right, I checked and the speed I was getting from the VOOC charger wasn't as fast as DASH, but it was something more like QC 2. 0 speed.

Currently, there is NO getting around using OnePlus cables in order to use DASH/VOOC charging. It appears you can use VOOC adapters but you have to use OnePlus cables for DASH charge as OPPO does not make USB-C cables. The reason is because the OnePlus proprietary USB-C cable has a special and proprietary center fifth pin in the center of the USB plug. You all can check this for your self. Get a flashlight and shine into the USB plug of both a regular cable and OnePlus proprietary plug. You will see the recessed 5th pin on the OnePlus cable.

That is why NO extension cable or converter USB to USB-C adapter will work for DASH/VOOC. All the cables or adapters need to pass through the electric current from that 5th pin to work. And currently no generic cable out there has this 5th pin. In the future, perhaps. But even if cables are made to pass through the 5th pin signal, it's still possible that VOOC/DASH requires digital authentication from both phone and adapter to actually negotiate a 4A charging state. So that means if you don't have a VOOC/DASH charging adapter, even if you can get a compatible generic cable with a 5th pin, you still may not be able to DASH charge at 4A due to the lack of authentication. It remains to be seen if 3rd party companies can come up with compatible cables and chargers that will work with OnePlus 3.

Bottom line: right now, you can't get DASH/VOOC fast charging without using OnePlus cables and OnePlus/OPPO DASH/VOOC adapters.
