Quick question: When root and S-Off are officially released will they work with all versions of the One M8 or are they carrier specific?
This'll be my first HTC phone since the T-Mobile only HTC Sensation 4g was released so I don't know how HTC handles multi carrier phones.

Once this releases, I can flash a generic stock HTC Sense ROM (I have a carrier variant at moment) and use OTA update?

I am good to go with adb mid changes for full conversion, as well as adb lock/unlock and remove tampered.
Just need to make up some threads

5The problem that it doesn't work now is that there is some "special cid" inside which can we only see with an cat command over adv shell or drirectly in terminal on phone...then it will show a long number and if something at the beginning is with 914000 or so it won't work with that device...I also tried to get s-off run the command to see if I have this device and yes...it is...but forgot how the command was -.- and I think the devs will work on it...if not Firewater then some others

If you need to ask whether or not you need S-Off, it's safe to say you don't need S-Off
