The binaries are present, download the Super user app, if you have wiped while flashing the ftf file.

Sorry but my Xperia Arc won't boot after flashing this.

So I flashed the stock ROM with Flashtool, and I applied root later via recovery.

If you do right all works

IF YOU EXPLAIN HOW TO "DO IT RIGHT" IN THE OP THEN PERHAPS PEOPLE WONT POST SUCH THINGS IN YOUR THREAD.

The first post does not explain the issue of the "missing" superuser which may confuse some people.
Please update the op to include detailed instructions.

Please also refrain from posting requests in the Dev section and then creating a new thread for the files once you have them.

He provided files, it is YOUR problem to know what to do with them.

It's not my problem at all.....

If he's going to post files then he has to at least make sure people are aware of the issues they may experience when attempting to use them.

MY problem is keeping these forums tidy and organised....

The reason for my post is that even once the issue was raised the OP made no attempt to enlighten anyone as to why or help them. That is not what XDA is about.

Does anyone know the software differences between a/i?.

if there are differences, there are not important, its about bands frequencies and stuff sometimes, never has been relevant in Sony Ericsson phones.

Its more like region ID just that.

    In this Arc particular case the difference is that LT15a has this bands;

    GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS800, UMTS850, UMTS1900, UMTS2100

    and LT15i has this:

    GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS2100

And as you can see LT15i has not UMTS850 so it will not work on for example Telcel Mexico 3G since Telcel use UMTS850

BUT i/a in software can't change add or remove bands on the phone since this its hardware configuration.

To prove this, I have an LT15a with LT15i firmware and 3G workink with UMTS850 band. So the "i or a" letter indicates only the region that the phone belongs, there is no differents in software.

Then don't worry to flash any firmware i or a to any SEMC phone :D

    and ontopic:

since gingerbreak is no longer working, and OTA updates doesn't cover las firmware.....; the simple question is.. Is there a way to have ROM .368 with locked bootloader and rooted????

You can unlock your phone with setool and you will get unlocked bootloader and fastboot
