Hey all,

As you may have seen elsewhere, we've been working pretty hard to bring you unrEVOked 3.2 with out-of-the-box, one-click support for all Android versions on the GSM and CDMA desires.

Available for Linux, Mac, and Windows:
http://www.unrevoked.com/recovery/

Please start by visiting the help page and reading it through:

http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/unrevoked3

1. Windows users MUST install the HBOOT drivers for this to work:
http://www.unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php?id=public:windows_hboot_driver_install

2. Windows users need to uninstall HTC Sync or any other program that might talk to the phone over USB (doubletwist, etc). Disabling HTC Sync from the system tray is not enough. They interfere with the root process and will cause problems.

3. When asked for USB connection type, select "Charge Only" and "Remember this".

Special thanks to Sebastian Krahmer for the rageagainstthecage exploit.

Hey all,

It's working flawlessly on our testing devices, but we are releasing it for a quick round of testing before distributing it more widely. If you are interested in helping us test, please join me in #unrevokedtest on freenode.net.

I'll replace the content here with the links to the updated tool once we've finished testing.

will this make UK Desire (i think they gsm) S-OFF?

Only CDMA Desire is being made S-OFF it has always been easier for CDMA models to be hacked due to radio differences :(

v3.2:
* Added support for Froyo builds on all supported devices (thanks to Sebastian Krahmer)
* Added support for the CDMA Desire
* Optionally disables security on supported CDMA devices

no mention of gsm desire

GSM Desire should be able to root the OTA (HBOOT 0.92) without downgrade. Although only us CDMAs have S-OFF ;) (Not that I care much, I just want some ROMs now, lol)

Is this safe to use on the CDMA version. Basically can someone with a USCC branded phone confirm that it works?

Doesn't matter which HBOOT you use now, a hack was found for ADB, so basically every device is susceptible at the moment.

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the confirmation. Will try it later. :)

By the way, will you be releasing a new OpenDesire Sense rom soon .. your rom is still my top favorites. :)

I am having the same problem with the yellow exclamation point. How did you resolve this issue?

I uninstalled all the usb drivers, the failed ADB device, then installed the whole HTC Sync software, then uninstalled the HTC Sync portion and left the HTC Driver Installer installed, then it worked.
