Vanilla Bean

Notice:
I'm not going to develop this ROM any more. Compared to the AOSP sources Indigo Bean (CyanogenMod) offers more features out of the box and makes my life and yours a lot easier.

YouTube broken; does't play videos

Congratulations on getting the port working!
Do you reckon the touchscreen patches will work on the cynanogen? because i was porting that but that problem stopped me?

it works so far, one minus is that it isnt any swedish language,

edit, apparently my 3g doesnt work,

I guess so. You could try to apply that diff and see where it leads you.

okay, i will try again in a little while, is it long time until the swedish language is available? and the app superuser permission isnt there?

Edit, will flash in this rom again when it is a little bit more stable, cant get get any network connection at all, too bad, i really liked the clean eclair, with flan lockscreen and everything,

edit2: i can make call and textmessage, but i couldnt use market without WiFi,

Awesome, just what I was looking for!

Found a few bugs worth noting. The screen auto-brightness doesn't work and it seems that the sdcard won't get mounted when I connect the phone through usb.

I don't think this rom needs live wallpapers. "Vanilla" editions are for purists among us.

i dont have superuser permissions with this rom? i cant get market enabler to work, or lamppu, the app who gets the LED to light as a flashligt,

Not right after flashing, because I forgot to include Superuser.apk. This will be resolved in 0.2.

okay, when is that version coming out? is it something i can install now or du you have to include it in the zip?

edit: will i be able to install updates with ROM Manager premium?

Be patient! This is an early pre-release and I warned you it will be buggy. I'll release the new version when it is ready.

Thanks for your efforts ali ba. I've almost lost hope for stock Android on my Legend. I'll flash your rom once it reaches a more or less stable stage (work phone - got to be working reliably). Thanks again, good luck.

nice job ali ba! flashed your rom yesterday.

So far the only issues found besides the all mentioned auto brightness problem is that i'll get a FC on the stock music app. Also the powercontrol widget is a bit euh wrong. The green stripe indicating auto-brightness is on is not on the right spot. could be related to the earlier mentioned problem.

Furthermore I was expecting a white version of the powercontrol. At least that is what i see when viewing all those those other devices running AOSP. But I could be wrong ofcourse

I just checked the sources: The widget is the original one as can be found in the vanilla sources of the AOSP. I did not replace anything at all. Maybe, once all the other issues are sorted out, I will try to patch and recompile it.
