    Can anybody simplify the above procedure in steps?

    Here is a simpler version. This should work on locked bootloaders and give you a debloated stock ROM without the reboot issue. After following these steps you should also grap the original FTF file and flash kernel, fotakernel and baseband via Flashtool.

    1. Download my debloated and pre-rooted stock ROM http://home.bytopia.dk/public/C6603_10.1.1.A.1.253_DEBLOAT.zip
    2. Download the original userdata partition: http://home.bytopia.dk/public/FactoryData.zip
    3. Boot into CWM recovery
    4. Wipe data / factory defaults
    5. Flash C6603_10.1.1.A.1.253_DEBLOAT.zip
    6. Flash FactoryData.zip
    7. Reboot
    8. Once the phone is booted and NFC firmware is installed, reboot again

    Note: This will wipe all your data!

    Note2: You can skip step 2 and 6 if you want. Following them will give you the same userdata partition as if you flashed the original FTF via Flashtool, but it seems to work fine without it, so it is just to be on the safe side.

    Note3: The C6603_10.1.1.A.1.253_DEBLOAT.zip file has been modified to fix the reboot issue.

    does anyone know the ftf provided is debloated?

    The FTF and the ZIP from OP are not debloated.

    it's possible to upload a flashable deoxeded and pre-rooted version?

    Uploading a pre-rooted, de-odexed, zip-aligned version with DoomLord's kernel included.
    Minor coding mistake in update-script, re-uploading..

    If all three is working, Its really a super phone and we can ask SaMMy to sleep!! Lol..

    Hey, you shouldn't say that.. Samsung has made three great devices!

    • Google Nexus S
    • Google Galaxy Nexus
    • Google Nexus 10

    Finally i couldn't wait for the UK unbranded rom and put myself to work.

    And, i made it!

    First try and no reboots when mounting system on RW mode. Now i have the new Kernel, baseband, system... everything from 10.1.1.A.1.253 rooted and fully stable on my locked bootloader Xperia Z

    Now i will try to describe as best as i can the process i did, probably some steps are unnecessary as i was fixing things as the problems started to arise.

    I started downloading this flashable and pre-rooted zip: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=41459016&postcount=54

    Probably it is the same if you download v3 from the OP, but as i had this file already downloaded i started from it. I also downloaded the full FTF file from OP.

    [USELESS STEP] I extracted the zip and replaced Backup-Restore.apk, BackupRestoreConfirmation.apk, BackupRestoreConfirmation.odex, Backup-wizard.apk, ServiceMenu.apk, ServiceMenu.odex, with older versions from the .434 firmware, and re-zipped,[END OF USELESS STEP]

    I sent it to sdcard, and flashed the zip from CWM, and wiped Dalvik only.

    I rebooted, it automatically updated NFC firmware (yes, no extra step was needed), tested CWM recovery and it was working, tested root and it was working, but i had the nasty reboots when trying to fiddle with system files :silly:

    So i tried to re-root with "EasyRootingToolkit_XPERIA-Z_SO-02E_v101-ENGLISH_tkymgr"... total fail, and i realized backup and restore and service menu were not working, it was like the older versions of this apps were banned or something, the apk's were in place, correct permissions, but they were invisible for the system, that is why i labeled the step of replacing this apps as useless.

    Ok, i opened the "EasyRootingToolkit_XPERIA-Z_SO-02E_v101-ENGLISH_tkymgr" package and copied the following files to /data/local/tmp/ :

    onload.sh ----> (chmod 755)
    getroot.sh ----> (chmod 755)
    busybox-armv6l ---> renamed to busybox
    su
    step2.sh ----> (chmod 777)
    step3.sh ----> (chmod 777)

    started a terminal emulator (download from Play Store) in the phone and typed the following commands:

    su
    sh /data/local/tmp/step2.sh
    sh /data/local/tmp/step3.sh
    sh /data/local/tmp/onload.sh

    then rebooted phone and to my despair i had lost root :eek:, i checked if "su" was in place, and it was, but with a weight of 0,00 kb, i went to CWM recovery, which was still working, and flashed http://download.clockworkmod.com/superuser/superuser.zip

    Rebooted and tried root, it was working, tried mounting system partition as RW, it was working ok, next i replaced the old and useless Backup-Restore.apk, BackupRestoreConfirmation.apk, BackupRestoreConfirmation.odex, Backup-wizard.apk, ServiceMenu.apk, ServiceMenu.odex, i had in system partition, with the newer versions coming from 1.253 fw, i used ES file manager to do the whole process to really make sure no reboots happen, and i succeed!

    I rebooted, backup and restore appeared in the app drawer and system menu was accessible again, i messed for like 5 minutes with system partition mounted as RW and no reboots, then i flashed 1.253 kernel, fotakernel, and baseband using flashtool, rebooted, admired the new screen calibration :cool:, messed again with system partition in RW mode... no reboots.

    Job done!

    I have almost no idea of scripting, just copied the commands from runme.bat inside "EasyRootingToolkit_XPERIA-Z_SO-02E_v101-ENGLISH_tkymgr", the rest was more luck than anything, so maybe i will not be able to answer some advanced questions and doubts that this process may generate, also probably there is a way of achieving the same inless steps, i just related what i did the best i could, also excuse my english ;)

    Good luck.
