This thread is for the ParanoidAndroid nightly builds. These builds are straight from PA source without any code changes, so they work as the official ones. The only difference is that these builds are untested - but no risk no fun!

*DISCLAIMER*
You do this knowing all risks involved with flashing a ROM.
Neither I nor any member are responsible for any permanent damage.[/CENTER]

Please keep all questions related to any of these builds I'm this thread, not the official pa thread.

Installation doesn't differ from the PA installation:
1. PA Rom
2. PA GApps
3. Other Kernel if you want

*WARNING*
-Do not ask for support or complain that something doesn't work because YOU flash someone else's kernel.
-Do not ask for support or complain that something doesn't work because YOU restore apps and/or data and/or system settings from Titanium Backup or Carbon etc.
-The kernel included is specific to this build and the only one supported.
-Do Not ask for ETA on the next release
-Do Not ask for help if you didn't full wipe before coming from a different rom!
-Do Not Flame other users in my thread! That's my job alone!
-Enjoy the rom!

How To:
1. Back Up your Stuff.
2. Full wipe is required if coming from another ROM
4. Flash .zip in recovery
5. Flash latest PA gapps in recovery
6. Allow full first boot, reboot
7. Sign in to Market to add account.
8. Rate the thread and hit some "Thanks" buttons!

So here are my clean PA Nightly Builds without any code-changes
http://goo.im/devs/fabi280/mako_pa_nightly
Mirror: http://uploaded.net/f/1k88zg

I only change the ro.goo.* Attributes of the build.prop so you can update via GooManager.
The Buildserver is set up to sync the repo at 0:00 GMT+2, checks for changes, builds a changelog and the rom if there are changes.
A build takes around 150 minutes.
My check for change to compile script has currently a bug where it won't re-set the time for the changelog when a build fails. This means if a build fails there will be no changelog uploaded, but for the next build it will just output the changes between the failed build and the current build.

A changelog is included for every build.

I'm also accepting mirror requests.

Here is my build configuration (nearly the same as the original PA):
Code:
============================================
PLATFORM_VERSION_CODENAME=REL
PLATFORM_VERSION=4.2.2
TARGET_PRODUCT=pa_mako
TARGET_BUILD_VARIANT=userdebug
TARGET_BUILD_TYPE=release
TARGET_BUILD_APPS=
TARGET_ARCH=arm
TARGET_ARCH_VARIANT=armv7-a-neon
TARGET_GCC_VERSION=4.7
[B]TARGET_USE_O3=true
TARGET_LINARO_STRING_ROUTINES=true[/B]
TARGET_USE_GRAPHITE=
HOST_ARCH=x86
HOST_OS=linux
HOST_OS_EXTRA=Linux-3.9-1-amd64-x86_64-with-debian-jessie-sid
HOST_BUILD_TYPE=release
BUILD_ID=JDQ39
OUT_DIR=/home/fabi280/paranoidandroid/out
============================================
Please keep in mind that time is limited. Also for me.

Hi dsmitty and Fabi,

thank you for providing us nightlies! :)

To avoid confusion..

ZION Builds are not nightlies in the way we know nightlies, but build up straight from source and they will include rom scene patches and hacks?
NIGHTLIES Builds are nigthlies, but with no hacks/patches mentioned above? So straight PA?
FABI´s build are the same, but from FABI?

Thank you so much!

Kindly regards
Nico

First of all, thank you for this.

I just have 3 questions.

1. Is the FC on selecting PA updater in settings fixed on the 22April build?
2. What differentiates the Zion build with the nightlies? Can you add some commits that needs to be updated? The example would be the CM LED settings.
3. This is more like just a suggestion. I see different zips for different devices on the nightlies folder: http://goo.im/devs/dsmitty166/NIGHTLIES/Mako
Perhaps you could make it more neat? After all, isn't it supposed to be just for mako?

Again, thank you for this.

Yep you got it.
Fabis builds are the same as the nightlies without the updater. He's been doing them while I tweak my source to add the nightly branch. I'm not sure if once my source is finished, he will continue his builds or not, as he is already going to be compiling my nightlies, so it would sense be two same roms.

Right now, Zion is straight nightlies tho, no other patches yet

Thank you for the explanation! :)

I have downloaded FABI´s latest nightly and so far no problems for me. Also WiFi is now working again as it should (Moles reverted the patch).

One thing i don´t understand correctly, FABI: Is the nightly KRAIT optimized like the one from Moles? I read it in the main PA thread but was confused about the problems you had with adding the optimization? Maybe i don´t understand your post correctly.

I will answer for him, yes it is, those optimization are built into the source code already :)

2. Nothing yet, I will look into it.
3. The reason for that was in case fabi wants to build for multiple devices

Edit, ahh I see what your saying now. There is nothing in that folder yet for nightlies and goo doesn't think it exists yet. It will be fixed when I add a nightly

Hey thanks for doing these nightlies, appreciated. Just one small thing, can we change the way the zips are named to make it easier for people to find the latest eg instead of pa_mako-3.15-22APR2013.zip something like 2013-04-22-233451-pa_mako-3.15 (time included if it is needed). Please?

Ah glad you got what I mean, if that's how it is done automatically then that's that, just always wondered, it bugged me a little, thanks anyway.

The Time is included. The zip file will have the timestamp of the start of compilation time.
This nightly wasn't done automatically because of some gcc-4.8 errors. I fixed them and started a test build at 23:34 (11:34 pm).
I didn't want to cancel this build, so I canceled the cron build of that nightly.

So for the time:
pa_mako-3.15-22APR2013-004804.zip -> Build started at 22 Apr 2013 00:48:04 (am)
pa_mako-3.15-22APR2013-233451.zip -> Build started at 22 Apr 2013 23:34:51 (11:34 pm)

Edit: Oh, now I understand what you mean... But this is like a standard on android roms. You can also sort by Modification Time at goo

Dear Fabi.

So which one is the proper one of this two builds? I have downloaded the second one (233451)...

Thanks for pulling out nightlies that are "pure" PA. :)

Your current rom works fine. Also pa updater does its best. Maybe you have forgotten the apk in 21st build? If you could give us any mods in next builds (center clock should be the most desired thing :)) we are happier than now ;)

They are both working. The second one is the one with the WiFi Fix.
As I stated in the quoted post - i started the compilation before 0:00, so they have both the same build day in the filename

Now pa updater works fine with your current ro.. So you did it right ;)

But I have other question.
My phone don't connect to some wifi networks.. It shows weak signal and wants to connect but no result.. Its since april's first pa build I think..

With franco Kernel the same...
With other Kernels too..

Do you have an idea?

Confirmed that the PA updater doesn't cause Settings to FC anymore. Thank you.

I notice that the MMS.apk is not CM's MMS.apk like the one in moles' build Apr 16?

    Seems to be related to the "Allow multiple emulated storages at the same time" ;D
    https://github.com/ParanoidAndroid/...mmit/46ce3d395a2494d1eb807c1994463e437e0bc122

    Just wanted to copy my "production" folder to a "private" folder and test a build with this reverted, but then this commit popped up.
    I'm doing a "quick" build, without make clean. Will have the same filename as the normal nightly of today

    EDIT: Build is already finished :)33), the Changelogs are already uploaded (didnt change the date of the changelog, so this changes will also occur on the next nightly).
    Right now it's uploading to goo, then mega, then uploaded, then devHost, then mediafire...

    EDIT2: http://goo.im/devs/fabi280/mako_pa_nightly/pa_mako-3.99-20130904.zip <- Should be the fixed file. Goo is already showing the right time.
    Right now it's uploading to Mega.

    I'm already running this build on my N4, it works, no SystemUI crashes
    14
    Yes. On the 9-03-13 nightly. I did a clean install though.

    Sorry guys for that late and mostly useless reply. But I'm very busy right now, I can tell you that the 20130831 build works nice on my device, didn't even have the time to flash a newer build.
    I'm currently attending to preparation courses for University (Maths in the morning and Java for Advanced Users in the afternoon - seriously the Java course sucks, I mean I'm really bored there, today I showed my current project (an application for local firedepartment) to the teacher and he said that this course is gonna be boring for me). After those courses, really tired from the java course, I'm driving home with my car. It takes at least 1 hour (traffic jams ftw, todays count: 2) :S
    Lets say I can't even check my phone from 7am to 7pm. So when I'm finally home I'm hungry as hell and need to make me some food, 8pm until finished. Then I'm doing some preparations at home, at least a half hour. My girlfriend wants to see me too, another loss of time. Right now I have like 15 hours sleep in total for the last 3 days. I'm tired as hell, my day would need at least 26 hours right now to do all the stuff I'd want to.
    Seriously guys, I don't have much time to look what causes the crash and maybe even leave the PA devs a message or even a fix.
    I'm really really sorry for this.

    I will manually clean the sources again right now. Let's hope it gets better at the nightly later.

    I'll start a manual build in a few minutes to test the upload to the mirrors.
    For now I'm uploading to those Mirrors:
    [GOO]
    [UL.TO]
    [D-H.ST]
    [MEGA]
    [MEDIAFIRE]
    [LINUXGEEKS]

    I have one more sites where I could put those files up - but I think those are enough.
    I'm also looking forward to upload the build just to one server and this server will upload those builds to all the mirrors (a friend of mine has a VPS, would be faster than uploading all files with my home broadband connection)

    The builds are uploaded in the order like they are listed

    EDIT: Damn, no changes right now, so I can't build (I can but it would only confuse everyone)
    EDIT2: Added Linuxgeeks
    7
    I changed the build script today, now it builds just if there are changes.

    I tried to use Jenkins but I had some issues in the final step. Now I got some help from @TamCore.

    There will be a change log for the latest nightly, I will change it later so there will be a change log for every nightly that's uploaded.
    I heard about the issues with goo, I can also upload it to other services. Just let me know.
