Digital clock is classic digital clock widget in a new design. It is configured by Settings of the Clock app. There you can beside other settings change color of clock / date / alarm and it will apply to the widget.
cLock is brand new CM widget combining digital clock in a new design, weather forecast and calendar events. It is configured in RootBox Settings > cLock where you change font colors.
For now there is no overall system DPI change possibility, so that u have to use the 'Settings > Hybrid settings'.
Here you should choose the stock PA-settings and then swipe to the right - this should open the PA-menu on the left.
Now choose ‘Interface’ and set at all dpi-regulators on your DPI you want to have.
Most apps also get this configuration, but some like Phone, Calculator or Chrome, have to been set manually.
That for change from ‘Interface’ to ‘Apps’ and choose the same DPI for all bright apps you can see at the top.
If you did this, you should have overall the same DPI.
If u want to have different DPI’s per app, just run free in the ‘Apps’-section.
• My device isn’t supported in playstore after changing DPI
E Expanded Desktop
• Can I use Expanded desktop on this ROM?
Yes. Enable it in RootBox Settings and switch it on or off in Power menu.

G GAPPS
• Do I have to flash GAPPS with ROM?
Generally musst have the Gapps package!
But u only have to flash it once, because since v4.0 (also some nightlies before), the backup function got enabled.
This will save the Gapps, so that a “dirty update*” with new Rom.zip is enough.
*If u don’t know what this means, check ‘Option 1’ under the point F->Flashing (without step 4 here)
There are three places where you configure HALO behavior:
1. Settings > RootBox Settings > HALO Settings where you configure basic HALO Notifications behavior
2. Settings > Apps > [Any App options] where you enable / disable concrete app Blacklist / Whitelist entry
3. Paranoid Android HALO))) App from Play Store where you configure apps for persistent notifications in so called floating mode.
What are options in Settings > RootBox Settings > HALO Settings?
- HALO policy allows you to choose between Blacklist (default) or Whitelist policy. In Blacklist mode are notifications from all app ON by default and you can explicitly configure some of them not to show HALO notifications by entering them to Blacklist. In Whitelist mode are notifications from all app OFF by default and you can explicitly configure some of them to show HALO notifications by entering them to Whitelist.
- Hide HALO after activity (disabled by default) allows you (if enabled) to hide HALO circle shortly after notification appears.
- Reverse HALO gestures changes behavior of dragging / tapping on HALO circle. Better to play with it or watch some youtube videos than describe this... Basics are: If enabled (default), then dragging is for tasking and double-tap swipe allows you to position circle or delete / deactivate it. If disabled, functions are reversed.
How to Blacklist / Whitelist apps?
Go to Settings > Apps > [Any App options] and there right under "Show notifications" checkbox you find either "Blacklist HALO notifications" or "Whitelist HALO notifications" according to policy set in HALO policy options.
What can I do using Paranoid Android HALO))) App?
Add some apps like Email, Gmail, Messaging, etc. using "+" button, press ">" button and you will see... You will have persistent notification in floating mode for those chosen apps. Try to drag HALO circle and you will get it.
How can I disable / deactivate HALO? (I don't want to see the circle on my screen)
Depending on your "Reverse HALO gestures" option:
- If enabled (default), then try quickly double-tap & swipe the circle. By this you will be able to position the circle or deactivate it by moving it to "trash".
- If disabled, then you can directly drag the circle. By this you will be able to position the circle or deactivate it by moving it to "trash".
How can I enable it again?
When HALO is deactivated, you can see special button in upper line of Notification drawer, that will activate it.
How can I uninstall HALO completely?
You can't. It is integral part of the ROM. You can only choose not to use it.
What if I cannot install .apk?
Wait for the next Nightly/Stable build. This will be solved. If you can't wait, then disable HALO, install what you need and enable it again.
I Incremental download/update
• What is the incremental download
This download allows all devices on the the direct lower version (for example the nightly 20130301) to update only the new and necessary files from newest nightly (for example the 20130302). This means a smaller file, a faster download and a faster flash! This is anyway an experimental feature, which isn't available for all updates and can still bring some bugs with it!
• How I do the incremental update
That for you have to look at the 'settings > update manager', search the newest nightly and check the point directly below the “normal” download. (it is only shown if u are on the directly below version!)
Download and flash it. (File is smaller than from "normal" download)
L Lockscreen
• How do I get shortcuts/targets on my lockscreen?
• How do I put cLock on my lockscreen instead of standard clock?
You have to drag clock on lockscreen. It will allow you to remove it. Then you can add cLock or any other widget instead. Note that cLock has only one setting that applies to homescreen and lockscreen.
• How do I make cLock show my Weather and Calendar on lockscreen?
Rom Control > Lockscreen > Minimize Lockscreen Challenge.
• How do I unlock faster when Minimize Lockscreen Challenge is enabled?
Rom Control > Lockscreen > Enable longpress to unlock.
N NavBar
• How do I change NavBar Color?
Rom Control > Navigation Bar > Navigation Bar color.
• How do I enable NavBar transparency?
Rom Control > General UI > Transparency settings. See this post from descarao81 if you have problems with transparency using Nova or Apex Launcher.
Nightlies
• What is Nightly? Should I flash Nightly or latest Stable version?
There is no major difference. Nightlies are builds which are built almost “every day” for everyone to try the latest sources/features merged to RootBox.
For all users who don’t want to flash “every day” and want have less bugs as possible, please just use the stable releases.
P Pie
• How do I enable Pie?
You activate it via “settings>RootBox settings>Pie controls”
• How do I change the Color of Pie?
Settings > Hybrid settings > Interface.
• How make I Pie open faster
Just set ‘quick’ in “settings>RootBox>Pie controls>Pie style”
S Statusbar
• How do I enable Statusbar transparency?
Rom Control > General UI > Transparency settings. See this post from descarao81 if you have problems with transparency using Nova or Apex Launcher.
• How do I change the Statusbar behaviour?
Rom Control > General UI > Statusbar behaviour.
Here u have different options if/how the statusbar is/becomes visible for you.
• What means the fast toggle for the Statusbar Toggles?
This will allow you to swipe from the right or left side of your statusbar (depending on what you choose) and it will go to your quick settings bypassing any notifications.
• Everytime after reboot I got a “Low Storage” Message!?
It’s a problem which appears when the app ‘Viber’ is installed. Just move ‘Viber’ to sd card.
That for go to “settings>apps>Viber”
U USB
• I’m not able to connect my device as Mass-Storage to PC
Try deleting data from media storage. That for go to “settings>apps>all>media storage”
♦ Feature-Request-Ranking ♦
This ranking shows the five most wished features from RootBox users, which should be add by Bajee.
Wishes are shown by hitting the ‘Thanks’-Button of the feature request. This nevertheless is no guarantee that it ever can or will be added!!!
Stable releases 4.2 - When flashing from Stable<=4.1 or Nightly<=0628, full wipe flash is recommended. In case of dirty flash, clearing of Contacts, Contacts storage, ROM Control is required.
RootBox OTA
RootBox App
CM Privacy Guard
New framework animations
RC: Ribbons fix custom selection for long press/swipe
Added power button to Pie
Recents improved
Hybrid Toggle: show DPI, layout, colors settings & app name
The major release based on Android 4.2.1. As a major change, this release requires FULL WIPE installation and new GAPPS compatible with Android 4.2.1. As this is the first release based on the new versions, there are some features still missing.
The last stable release based on Android 4.1.2 with all AOKP features and many CM cherry picks and features by Bajee like multitarget slider on lockscreen or PAPrefs. If you like those features, stay on this stable release, as some of them were removed or replaced by other feauters like brand new 4.2.1 lockscreen or Per-App DPI framework by Rovo89.
Only stock kernel AFAIK. Or if there is any other, that is compatible with latest CM10.1 builds, i.e. with MALI v2 drivers for i9300. I do not know such.
EDIT: Temasek kernel was reported by feed3 and TKokab as compatible with this ROM
I am on the 02.03 nightly update.
As mentioned by someone else on Rootbox's G+ page, there is a tiny winy issue with front camera.
When I take a photo with the front camera the first time, everything is ok. But when I try to take a second photo right after that, the camera screen is stuck with the previous image but it still takes the new photo however.
Just wanted to put it out there and see if anyone else have the same problem.
Just one Q , from 03.02 nightly we don't have an option to set lockscreen wallpapper in portrait mode. Problem is when we want to set wall with different size. Lockscreen is not scrollable.... Thx in advance
Ps
Big THX for second chance with the main topic :highfive:

Re: [ROM][4.2.2] RootBox ♦ Support ♦ Help-Index ♦ Discussion [i9300]
On latest nightlies, using incremental update, old bug coming again, no sound when making or received calls, have to enable lockscreen sound and reboot. Anyone can confirm? Thanks in advance.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Hey buddy, thanks for the reply. Just flashed to latest nightly 06.03.
I am not using any other kernel, just stock kernel. I tried doing the same thing with the front camera on the latest nightly (also cleared the gallery data from apps) but still same as before.
It's not a biggie for me because I hardly use the front camera. But it will be nice to have it fixed when possible.

Yes here to
haven't been able to pin point it exactly, getting this no sound in out and ingoing calls when > changing dpi in settings (only 320 works) without losing sound..but then again no sound when i change themes, even thow they are cm10.1 compatible?
only switching back to system theme, booting to cwm and fix permissions solves it again!
always have no lockscren on my phone, haven't tried to enable it ever, but will try what you write and enable sound and see if it does any difference?
btw:this is a very very anoying problem, that actually makes this wonderful rom unusable for me :crying:
hope for a fix sometime
but thx a million for this marvelous rom bajee11 - love it - and this thread is so great
Edit: no lockscren on or off dont make any difference here.. but found one theme that works, and dont kill sound, its cyanorangen cobolt, its newly updated and works perfect
--------------------------------------------------
Edit again: forget it, problem persiits randomly, no way on telling what causes it, seems like it is something about the resizing dpi related? but im no dev just my to cents!
+phone is getting very hot on this nightly 0306
--------------------------------------------------
Edit: no lockscren on or off dont make any difference here.. but found one theme that works, and dont kill sound, its cyanorangen cobolt, its newly updated and works perfect
Not a theme issue (at least not for me) and it has been the same with previous version (IF my memory doesn't cheat me).
I'm using mianogen theme when it happen, some other themes afterward and now (MNML statusbar by kgill7, poplife, LunarUI), ONLY when enabling the sceenlock sound (settings -> Sound -> Screen Lock Sound) solve the issue for me (same workaround all this while) though i think it is gone in 3.8..
I don't actually know if this is a ROM related issue, but I guess it is better that I leave it registered here the one thing that annoys me mostly for now with RootBox.
There are minor issues that don't bother me at all, but this one does. I just can't get my phone's files via USB on Ubuntu. It works fine on Windows but not on Ubuntu. The strange thing is it worked well with my previous ROM, but I decided to remain with RootBox and get this fixed somehow.
Before RB, I was using the Omega ROM AOKP, MTP also didn't worked on Linux, but I after I changed to kernel Siyah I had no such problems anymore. When I changed to RB, the problem was back. Tried to flash Siyah 1.7.1 and got stuck on boot animation; flashed Siyah 1.8.9 and phone booted ok. But no MTP working on Ubuntu.
I don't know if this is a ROM related issue, or a CM kernel problem... Or maybe my Ubuntu is just broken (I need to try on another distro yet). This is my most imediate need for RootBox, I'd really like some help on how can I fix this. Already tried cleaning the Media Storage app data, but got nothing.
My current set up is: RootBox NIghtly 20130306, stock Kernel 3.0.31-CM-gcea4b18. Ubuntu 12.04 on PC.

As requested by the majority of users, CM Power Widget has been merged with RootBox. All these screenshots have been taken with "Dark RootBox" Enabled hence why you see blue icons and dark background. Just like SMS Breath feature was implemented in V3.9.1, we now have Missed Call Breath.
So what is Dark RootBox?
In simple words, it's a dark "theme" that you can switch ON/OFF without having to use the Theme Engine. This could prove to be a potential tool for customization with the possibility of modifying layouts, colours, strings and much more. Thanks to Kroz's Hue Theme, I was able to theme RootBox with all his blue icons and dark colour palette. Rest assure that "Dark RootBox" is NOT DEFAULT and it's simply an option in the Settings menu.
Come on man. Why do you always ask for messages from the developer or whether there are updates? Give the team a break will you? If you have any idea what sort of effort releasing and updating a ROM of this calibre takes, or if you have any respect for the development of this ROM, you should understand that development is hard, it takes time and more importantly, people deserve a break when they've produced such works.
Development of rootbox saw nightlies for months, where code was constantly being updated (daily) to get to the stable release of 4.2. Now it's here and people have a right to have a break. It's not as if it's a rom that never gets updated.
There have been no announcements that rootbox will cease development (and why would there be?) so please, sit back and enjoy the rom and stop asking for updates, eta's and messages from the developer.
