Got this item off Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-me...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item3cd1b4718b

It surprised me since it's the first time ever I saw an actually ergonomic metal backcover, not those ****ty plastic edged ones where you only have metal on the flat surface.

Conclusion:

Pros:
  • The thing has a very good feel to it, it's very solid, much better than the stock plastic one.
  • Super cheap, I got mine for $9 shipped.

Cons:
  • The white plastic trim showing from the plastic undercover is something I did not expect since it was not visible at all on the Ebay listing, it doesn't look well. You could colour it with a marker, but it's still a negative from the plastic undercover + aluminium clam design.
  • It's 0.59mm thicker. You actually do notice the added thickness while holding the device.
  • It's heavier, about more than twice the weight of the stock plastic cover.
  • Signal strength gets a huge dip while having the cover on. This is the most negative point of all, people with medium signal might not want to use this at all.

Thanks for the review, that's me out for an aluminum cover. Reception in my area is bad enough, probably end up hanging out the window trying to get reception, haha!

Side note to OP, might wanna black out your IMEI though :p

I bought a "aluminum"cover on Ebay. It is plastic. So I get the aluminum look, with good signal strength and it's light wieght. Makes me laugh because I have my Neo Hybrid case covering it anyways. Good reveiw!

I got the silver and metallic blue covers in today. I paid only $5 shipped each. I lost about 1 bar with the cover on. I didn't mind the extra heft though. But gonna get rid of them cant fit them into my verus oneye.
