the port of gcam that can be installed on m6 note does absolutely nothing
theres no way to enable hal3
the drivers are missing from kernel

we already have manual controls with meizu camera and we can shot raw with bacon camera .
whats the fuzz with gcam and camera2api anyway?

if you realy need gcam go for mi a1 else if you want an overall good phone go for m6 note

There on the forum in the search enter the M6 note and choose the discussion / unofficial firmware. There are two versions:
1. Android One (ported with Mi a1)
2. AOSP (pure android)
There are also instructions for installing the firmware and getting the root.
The only problem with the camera is 2 api, the AOSP has support for level 3 camera 2 api.
But Google does not work properly. Maybe there will be specialists here who will help in the issue of launching a Google camera on our device.3
The camera quality is great now, the photos are better comparing to Iphone SE, Lenovo P2, Xiaomi A1, but with every daily update Meizu is upgrading it's quality. We're waiting for any custom ROM to enable HAL3. You could probably find more information there using google translate. To my knowledge, no one has actually proved that HDR+ works on M6 Note but some users in that forum claim that it works.1

If I understand you're talking about the M6 Note community.
There no global release for the device yet .
Even MEIZU hasn't released the device ROM on their website so no bootloader unlock or custom recoveries yet.
MEIZU will launch the phone soon in EU so we'll have to wait for a global ROM , bootloader unlock tool and kernel sources
