I've compiled smartass V2 module for Arc's 2.3.4 stock kernel.

To fully configure / install the module, please check the equivalent page for X10 - since I built the same module for X10 and wrote a full description page.

The only thing that is different is that the frequencies have changed for Arc (1024000 / 122880).

Download:

Use it at your own risk!

cpufreq_smartass2_arc_2.3.4.zip

Enjoy!

Sorry for de delayed answer ..

To obtain the kallsyms, the command is:

Code:
cat /proc/kallsyms > /sdcard/kallsyms.log

What kernel version is Acro running ?

Is there something special need to be done apart from following the guide to install to make it sticky? i.e. The Governor no longer appears in the No-frills after I reboot

I followed the guide for "smartass" to install.

You need a way to insmod the module everytime the phone reboots ... I use for this an app named "Module Loader" which I found here on forum, please search for it.

Otherwise you might need to update the init files of your ROM / phone, but that is out of scope of this thread ..

I have received several kallsyms files :) but I am a bit behind 'schedule' so it will take a bit (up to a week) until I can get to them.

I will keep the thread updated,

Thank you!

Is it possible for you to create OC Modules for the Arc? I saw a thread in the X8 were they can Overclock stock kernel using one overclock module compiled by an user.

Is there any chance, since you already compiled this smartass module, to compile an overclock module for us?

Thanks for the reply in advance.

Could you make this compatible with .62 firmware? Looks like it bootloops (I tried with doomlord's ASK).
