I can help, but unfortunately I now haven't enough time for it.
Later I can collect for you a firmware. It isn't so difficult actually.

Could you please tell in short steps what needs to be changed? Is it boot.img or kernel.img? I tried 4.2.2 on PMP5570C, sound, touchscreen and wifi (rtl8192uc, no bt hw) don't work. I unpacked boot.img and tried to replace stuff from stock 4.1.1 boot.img (initrd, *.rc...) but there is still no proper hw initialization.

The recovery does work, but there no way to boot in a menu.
Strange is, that the recovery is very large. Had no time so fare, but I will unpack it to see what is inside or challanger will possible tell us more about his awesome ROM.

Installed it and I took some time to find out how to change to English language. It's a fantastic ROM, thanks Ukranian!

Chrome is very unstable, keeps crashing. :(

I have some questions specific to Android 4.2.

How do I remove the Google Search bar? I can't tap and hold to remove it.

How do I remove the bottom launcher (contains Browser, Apps, Settings icons)?

How do I remove the capture screenshot shortcut on the bottom black bar?

In most cases you can grap and hold it until you see the trash bin. Or if you don't need google search bar, then delete the googlequicksearch.apk out of the system/app. Possible that you get bad side effects(forced closes), because the google apps are more and more linked to each other.

How do I remove the bottom launcher (contains Browser, Apps, Settings icons)?
You can't, if you don't want to work deep in the launcher.apk on the xml and smali file. Could be a tricky job. I never had tried it. Instead you change the launcher with your favorite launcher in the system\app folder, but careful. At first add your favourite launcher, tick it as standard launcher, then rename the old launcher better to launcher.old and test if your launcher work stable with the rom. Finally you can delete the .old file, if your choosen launcher works fine.

How do I remove the capture screenshot shortcut on the bottom black bar?
Not shure, where you find, I think in the framework-res.apk in the xml files. Apk need to be decompiled. Search for editing apk/decompiling apps to learn that trick.
Ukrainen has answered to this issue before. Copy these files in your ROM
http://yadi.sk/d/oP9aC54P7UI6A
and you will have stable Chrome.
Only problem is, that chrome is getting slower and slower. It needs to much ressources for a single core and you can't fix it with a ROM. Stay better with standard browser and copy bookmarksync.apk in the system\app, if you like to have your links from the google account. Standard browser is then enough.

New Rom U9GT2_4.2.2_v1.0.6_Multiwindows: http://yadi.sk/d/Ty_OIfYC7yP1m
Wow, a new one! Could you briefly tell us the changes? I wonder if I should upgrade from 1.0.5.

Thanks for the reply! I like Chrome for gestures (e.g. swipe left/right to switch tabs). Yes the standard browser is very quick. I'll give Chrome a try. If it is really too slow, I'll dump it. :)

Thanks for this ROM, it looks awesome!

Is it possible to mount externalSD as NAND as in the Oma ROM?
I just have 8GB of internal ROM and I new to use the 32GB of the external SD as NAND.

Thanks for the ROM It's awesome. Much better than the other ones:) But still there are two problems: battery icon doesn't change, rendering text in some apps. :( I really can't use this firmware in the best way because It does not show how much of the battery I have left and also because of the libwebcore.so problem (I am using AquaMail to view my 5 email accounts and emails are not shown correctly)

Hi ukrainen,

your new 1.06 has some improvements like a faster launcher without a changing the desktop wallpaper, chromium, multi-window and a complete new design of the user interface.:highfive:
What else.
Please, Ukrainen tell more about how you build your ROMs and the features. What about cwm or TWRP recovery for the ROM?

CWM is not a problem. Just flash the misc.img and recovery.img files from another rom with CWM. (after the first boot into this rom)
This rom would be absolutely perfect if it weren't for the 2 errors I have.

Hi adriannxda,
it is not that easy adriannxda with the recovery. It must fit to the rest of the ROM.

Could you explain your issues, because my battery status work and what about the libwebcore.so?

Hello Ukrainen, I have a Protab2XXL which is allwinner a10 with 1,2 ghz monocore 512mb ram mali400 . It is a clone of szenio 2000 cherry m1007 woxter 10.1 and many more. In Spain there is a little community where we share all roms for our device: http://www.htcmania.com/forumdisplay.php?f=602
Here is the latest ics rom: http://downloads.pointofview-online.com/Drivers/Tablets/10%20Inch%20Tablets/TAB-PROTAB2XXL%20Firmware%20Upgrade/PROTAB2XXL-Android%204.0.3_1828-20120725.zip
If you have time to adapt 4.2 to our rom all users of our forum will test it. Thanks a lot and keep the good work.

1doesn't update accu level indicator
2 problems in rendering several apps, like GMail, SPON… etc. all that use rendering engine of webkit.
The pages are splitted in tiles that are randomless drawn on the screen.
Problem with WebGL (libwebcore.so) can be solved by enabling CPU upload path in webkit

About recovery. You can use recovery.img and misc.img from one of Oma's latest rk29 builds. I am using this rom and I have CWMR!

It is the test version and what to order it your remarks on mistakes are necessary to me.

If you have a pad of other model that, below you need to load all necessary files and the program for up-dating.
Besides it is necessary to adapt boot.img for each pad separately.
For this purpose it is necessary for you, to give me the Full Boot.img for adaptation on android 4.2.2.
Sometimes, after a firmware as it is necessary to replace the system file: system/lib/hw/sensors.rk29board.so
If won't work the camera, to replace the system file: /lib/hw/camera.rk29board.so

    Good luck!

Fix work flash usb for 4.2.2_v1.0.4: http://yadi.sk/d/mDenSASH7NNMc (To copy in the folder: System/Etc)

For Cube U9gt2_4.2.2_v1.0.5: http://yadi.sk/d/_k8dXzye7MRhu (Stable and beautiful firmware, smooth interface. I recommend)

    Pass for zip: Challenger77

What to adapt a firmware under the pad, it is possible to unpack updade.img the RK29xxImageTools_v2.1 program, then in the Temp folder to replace the 4.2 boot.img modified for the Android and recovery.img and to pack a firmware back.

    For other pads, 4.2.2_v1.0.6_system.img: http://yadi.sk/d/AYqgyxyl7yQDA
    (In buil.prop the ro.sf.lcd_density parameters aren't specified)
After a firmware system.img, in the buil.prop file, add a line with parameters of your pad.
    For example: ro.sf.lcd_density=120
    Good luck.

    Happy New Year, Ukrainen!

Here is a KitKat build, which works with the old loader/rknand.ko: http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=2398

We are currently busy with CM11. Maybe you have time to backport it to rk29board? Would be great!

I will load more perfect Android 4.2.2 version soon
As in the future, I plan to load stable and the Android 4.1.1 fast release for the rk2918 platform with support of all pads.
For this purpose I as will need to adapt your boot.img
Besides, I will try to support permanently the platform rk2918 including Android 4.3 and if it is possible, and the Android 5.0 version
