Hey guys and gals!

I installed the "AOKP maguro Milestone 2" rom yesterday, and have been running without problems.

But a few hours ago, while i was randomly browsing the android market, the phone suddently froze, and rebooted after a few seconds.

I didn't worry, as I've had that happen before on other custom rom's.

But, but. After waiting at the "Google" logo for a few seconds, the screen got weird, and it rebooted again, and kept doing the same thing.

Also, the Google logo looks weird:

I've tried pulling the battery a lot of times, same thing happens.

Also, fastboot commands won't work.
Code:
Adams-MacBook-Pro:platform-tools adam$ ./fastboot flash recovery cwmr_touch_beta5_maguro.img
ERROR: could not clear input pipe; result e00002ed, ignoring...
ERROR: could not clear output pipe; result e00002ed, ignoring....
sending 'recovery' (5520 KB)...
ERROR: usb_write failed with status e00002ed
FAILED (command write failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 0.000s

Any ideas? Do I need to return the phone?

Regards, Adam Honoré.

were you using a GPU overclocked kernel? and also try ODIN like David said

I used franco.kernel. I didn't set OC on it.

Also, I just tried ODIN. It stops after a few seconds. Been sitting there for a while (30 mins)

Today i've seen some similar glitches on screen but after rebooting phone everything looks fine again. Why i'm posting here? I'm on AOKP build 18 and franco.kernel b#14.4 which overclocks GPU by nearly 30%. Going to flash some other kernel ASAP :/
I know, this doesn't help you, but perhaps it will save a phone for someone else.

That's what i did - went back on default AOKP kernel until Franco will find out what's going on. I have attached stock kernel from AOKP Build 20 (flash from CWM).

No, not yet. I just found this thread and quickly flashed stock kernel.

Okay. By using ODIN very quickly after booting I got it to "Writing NAND", then it stopped again. Seems like it is only able to connect for a few seconds after boot.

After not moving for about 20 mins, I disconnected it. Now it won't boot anything. Gives me a weird icon with a phone and a pc and a exclamation mark between them. And my PC recognizes it as "OMAP4400" in devices.

ODIN still sees it, and can get as far as "Set PIT file.." then it stops.

There are some folks here that really misuse the word, 'brick' and cause panic (not talking about the OP).

thanks for the kernel... will the stock 20 work whit my AOKP 21 ??
There's no kernel related changes between b20 and b21 so it should. Have some other kernel on phone storage just in case.

    Yeah, I upgraded from 14.2 to 14.4.

I tried to pull the battery 10-20 times, and nothing happened. So I tried to press all three buttons while intert the battery, and I got the bootloader screen. I quickly flashed the 4.0.1 google image I had on my computer via fastboot, and thankfully it worked. After booting up I got 4.0.2 OTA, and everything seems to work just fine. I think I'll stick to stock/root for now.

Good to hear you got it working again...

I flashed Stock kernel last night because of this but I'm still on AOKP, thinking about flashing back to stock again.. or back to Revolution HD

What was the charge of the battery when you got it up and running again?

I mean if it was low this could could all have been an issue of a completely empty battery. Maybe an app that gone berserk or such?
