Sense 5 will be release from HTC/Verizon for Droid DNA before the year is up. How's that for real! :highfive:
Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but Sense 5 is ugly as sin, and I will not buy an HTC phone that has Sense 5 on it unless I can root and put a Sense 4 ROM on it. HTC will ruin their reputation of having the most beautiful UI of all Android if they do in fact release anything close to what these pics indicate. I have been loyal to HTC for 3 consecutive upgrades, and I will go elsewhere if I have to settle for this.
Ever heard the saying loose a few gain alot? Happens a lot in the music industry.

There's always someone whose not going to be happy with change. But unfortunately for you, the vast majority love what the leaked pictures are showing, and even people who hated it at first are seeing it grow on them.
And no one is going to make a rom for an older version of android/sense. That would be like someone making a sense 3.5 Rom for this phone, it'd just be stupid.

Really? Why in the world would one want a weather widget on the app drawer? What the F... are HTC thinking?
Interesting. Can you theme the widget on the home screen to look like the one in the app drawer?
Also, can you comment on the overscroll animation effect used in the new Sense? That is, blue glow like a Nexus, bounce effect like iOS, or stretch/squish effect like prior versions of Sense.

Is that one the lock screen now? One where the lock replaces the app drawer icon in the middle but the Rosie stays the same for the rest.... That looks real odd there wonder why they'd remove the current design as I'd assume that's likely preferred among most for the lockscreen atleast.

Dude, i 100% agree here!!! Just look at my signature! That should say something of how faithful i am to htc! And yes, i agree......its ugly as hell! I hope this is just exclusive to one device, the m7, cuz if its not......ill b keeping my DNA for quite a while. Theres no need to change man, they do/did have the most beautiful ui, and thats y i have stuck with um this long! I got so much sh!t for sticking up for sense ui in the past, but im standing firm.......im soooooo against this. If indeed it is the final version they decide to release.

Wanna bet on that one? Ive already discussed this issue with a couple well respected devs, who "like me" love sense 4+ and believe me, even if sense 5 looks like this, there will also b sense 4+ roms out there.

On the DNA, yes if course there will be 4+ roms, but on devices that launch with 5.0 or higher there will not.
The same was said when 4.0 came out, it succks bla bla bla, 3.0 was the best bla bla bla, but I don't see sense 3.0 roms on the one x, or the DNA.

I don't really see what the love it or hate it whoopla is all about. It's basically just some new icons that I guess are a bit more inline with Google's design standards than the old ones. The only thing I'm hoping for is for it to be a bit lighter and less intrusive as mentioned. I won't really be happy about sense til they get rid of the white backgrounds and the green GB battery.
Yes, I do wanna bet on that one. Ill have my devs mud wrestle your devs on the matter. Many many devs want sense 5 already and have made it clear.
Seems this is gonna happen weather you like it or not, they didn't create it just for nothing. I remember the exact same cries and complaints when 4+ came out....yet here we are.....

Lol. Heres the deal bud, all the previous versions of sense, all pretty much have had the same clocks, app drawers, icons. They just made them look better. This is not the case here. It looks like some cheap ass touchwiz/sammy, and sony ui mixed with motorola crap! Im not the only one who can see that its ugly. And i was just messin when i asked if u wanted a bet, but ya, sure, ill bet ya. Ill bet u that "my devs", including myself, will try our hardest to keep the sense 4+ look, and feel, even after this crap is released for future devices. Im not gonna argue over this, i have my opinion, u have yours. Lol. Im just stating that i really dislike the screenshots that are posted. If this is released to us, i wont buy a device until my DNA is no longer usable, because im a huge htc sense fan. But my mind might change. We will see where this goes.
Also, im not crying over this. Lol. Im just stating my opinion. And of course it will happen if i like it or not? No brainer there.

Why does everyone bring sense down so much? Its significantly better and polished and better looking than touch wiz... The thing bringing them down is their choices and marketing ..like I don't know how many people crave the new HTC device than they see no SD card or removable battery that's what bringing HTC down not sense and their marketing tactics77Welp how about this?...... No more name calling or attacking of fellow users here!
