Hi,
This is my car mount form my Archos 70 IT.
I use it as GPS and for movies for my passengers or when I'm in traffic jam !

I bought a Brodit car mount specific for my car (it was for my iPhone) :

and I bought a generic windshield car mount from amazon :

I've just fix the generic mount without sucker on the Brodit and voila !
I can move my A70 in all way and it doesn't hide me the road.

Sorry for the photos quality, it's from my iPhone 3GS

On an external Bluetooth GPS that I bought 10€ on eBay (not a new piece) because iPhone can't tethering the GPS by BT....
In few weeks I'll sell it to buy an android phone which can do that !

cool!

may i recommend the evo? the only other great looking(aestehetics & capabilities) phone imo is the nexus s, though i haven't tried it. I love my evo though :)

lol, though it has a 4.3" screen, that has begun to look small next to my a70... i can only imagine how the 101 would make it feel :)

Thanks digibucc for thr recommandations ;)
I'm not sure the Evo is availaible in France, but I'm waiting the Nexus S, I'll probably change in February.
I'm just wondering if I need a big size screen cause of my A70 !

Just a word to say that after many kilometers my home support is still there and no more vibrations that the 1st day.
Strange that we don't see official support by brodit or carcomm !?

Looks ok.

Isn't it very "big" for the car to have a 7'' Display as GPS?
I use my smartphone for GPS (Motorola Droid 1)

Hi,
I'm wondering the same thing when I made it but after thousand kilometers I can say that it's the good size !
Just a look and you see really where you are and what you have to do.
You can easily make a choice or change something without watching it long time.
And when I use my iPhone again, it seems very small and I don't see what I need to see just with a look, I must spent more time on the screen.

I think the most important with this size is to not hide the road, with my home made car mount the windshield is not hide so there is no danger.

I use it too for music player, easy to switch or other because of the size and sometimes my right passenger use it to watch tv or movie...but I think it's not allowed by the police because I can see the screen even if it's turn front my right passenger.
