ICS is OK, JB is green tint

+1

cid 044, full wipe, run RUU can not fix. I try other custom JB ARHD 15, Renovate JB but all are the same. I hope devs will fix this with custom kernel.

I have email HTC but they reply and ask me do a reset.

I can not forgive you HTC, what's wrong with your software team!

PS: I have no problem with ICS rom, must be software bug.

This was present in ICS also, sorry guys.

I can't believe they haven't fixed it.

How can they advertise a flagship phone, make the main focal point the camera and then piss the camera up so you can't even take photos with flash.

HTC are becoming a joke.

Not sure if it's Software or Hardware. For me ICS was working just fine. I have just emailed HTC regarding this issue.

I also have this on JB.

this is a KERNEL issue, as stated and confirmed in earlier topics. How do i know? Stock Sense ICS with stock kernel dont have this problem but with AOSP JB it's there - WITH CERTAIN KERNELS. afaik trips kernel, atleast on of the older ones, dont have this (on my phone). Other aosp kernels does aswell as STOCK JB.

If i flash ARHD Jellybean i get green flash-photos but if i flash ARHD 9.7 (ICS based) i dont. And this is no mather what camera application im useing - this is not related to software (besides kernel) at all

Only fix i have found (and its not a fix) is to run a white-balance corection application on images. Apperantly all the info is there, its just the green channel getting miss-aligned.

this is not a flash issue either, if i photo a lamp with and without flash the with flash image is green, even if the without flash is just as bright.

HTC has to fix this. I was hoping they notice it and fix it before JB dropped on europe, but leak after leak and no diffrence.

but perhaps now they will notice it when more and more people get JB and people report it. this is probably related to diffrent camera modules or something else stupid, like they did with EVO 3d, two diffrent camera configurations and no way of telling wich u had.

Thanks for the replies. So no point in taking to service center. I guess I have to wait till HTC releases the Kernel sources.

I believe its to do with the flash flooding the sensor, for SLR cameras you get a filter.

Try setting your white balance to fluorescence, I can't get mine to do it for testing so let me know :p

I have no problems as such.. may be its CID specific software issue, maybe the HBOOT.. what HBOOT do you have?
