Flash again with another firmware and same
Baseband: ANG4
Build: ANH1
The problem still the same. The fon seems to be a useless fon. It good for standby only where cant make and receive call. Once incoming call in, both signal went lost. Sometime will allow me to talk for few minutes before the signal lost again. Has anyone figure how to fix this issue????:confused::confused:

Hi Casper,

You may try to Flash it again. You also might wish to remove the root for a moment.

I used the Russia Firmware from Sammobile and phone has now been working alright since last 2-3 days. No call drops, no heating and no battery issues.

Only thing I have managed to permanently corrupt my 64 GB SD card in this process. So keep SD card out while flashing the device.

Hi yadavsunil

u mean flash the fon 2 times with the same firmware again twice. I flash using odin as suggested at sammobile website. I place the firmware at AP box only. How about others boxes, should i just leave it blank?
My baseband ang4, build anh1.
after i flash it, i even rest to factory setting. Using stock rom and not rooted. What do you mean remove the root. How do i do that.
What is your firmware version by the way. Thanks

Sometimes you need to flash 2 or 3 times the same new software to get the new modem. Had this problem with S4 mini Duos and Grand 2 Duos

NJ1 works perfect in the UK. Today I'm flying to Poland and will report about LTE on the other (Polish) sim card

1. If you have rooted then unroot the phone first. If not, that's perfect.
2. Factory reset it before anything after backing up the data.
3. Download the October'2014 ROM (Russia) from Sammobile site. Site also had April'2014 which is not to be downloaded.
4. Extract the ROM to a defined folder.
5. Rest of the flashing method is simple and same.... put the phone on download mode, run odin (I used 3.07), tick on AP & select the extracted version of the ROM.
6. Simply flash it.
7. Pls keep your SD card away during this process.
You may try this couple of times and see the Modem would be upgraded ANJ1.
Phone works fine after that.
Cheers !!

Odin 3.0.9, kernel file must be placed into AP box.
Let all the options as they appear when opening odin, don't tick nothing.

First launch odin then put phone in download mode and connect it to pc. When pc recognizes phone (USBn on green backlighted box), press start button. It wil take only a few seconds then the phone will automatically reboot.
Your root procedure works perfectly.
The only strange thing I noticed was a Knox Notification saying that unauthorized actions were made in my device.
Do you know how to avoid this message? Is it needed for Knox 0x0? Well. I reboot my device and all the WiFi networks are forgotten. And after few minutes the Knox Message comes

There should be an option to disable that knox message, if I remember correctly.

Wifi issue sounds strange...
It seems like kernel version doesn't match with rom build...
Have you flash new rom first, then root and finally new kernel?

Can you check rom and kernel release stocked in your phone actually?

This is my configuration and it's working without issues and Knox warnings:

Everything about root is fixed now.
now it's my camera. Every time I open the camera I get the bug in the attached pictures. Then I try to set/unset hdr and then the camera gets normal again.

g900fd, Root, LTE Problem, G900FDXXU1ANJ2

I have updated the modem and ANJ2 as described above.
But there is still the same problem with LTE.
Telephone calls are interrupted after a few seconds.
So LTE is not useable.
Any Idea ?

LTE has to do with data connection and not with calls, by the way with the same configuration I've not any issues neither with LTE nor call interruptions.

It seems most you have signal issues, based on what you describe...

Did you correctly follow root process?

1. Check rom build, eventually flash new release (NJ2).
2. Flash old kernel.
3. Root the phone with towelroot.
3. Launch Supersu granting to disable Knox.
4. Flash new kernel.

If correctly followed steps above, did LTE work before updating or never on your S5 duos, Monika?

Yes, you should permit supersu to disable Knox.

Can you help me? I used those two kernels you provided me for rooting. I don't know what I have to do to fix the camera bug.
