Well done and don`t you just hate zero`s ;)

No I had a bad luck, it failed using the above mentioned instructions for my S5 G900FD

It's unclear if the CF auto root package for the 900F also encompasses the 900FD. You could try posting in the CF auto root thread to see if anyone can answer that authoritatively. Perhaps you would at least get a sense of confidence if enough people confirm that they have done so successfully.

In the alternative, see if you can locate and install a 100% stock pre-June 3rd build of 4.4.2 for your 900FD duos. If there is a pre-June 3rd build, it should be ameniable to using the Towel root method.

.

Yes buddy, I have pre-June 24rth build of 4.4.2 for my 900FD duos but Towel root method also didn't work and Towel root admin officially confirmed that my device is not yet among the devices rootable using Towel Root method, any other workable but safe solution ?

rom

Now since we got the root, I guess we need a good recovery and good cooked rom to get rid of unwanted software provided by Samsung.

I always recommend omega rom, but I don't if anything new coming from Mr. Omega.

Don't hold your breath for custom roms in the meanwhile, after Samsung release updates specially to higher versions of android you would see these roms.

besides, you have root, you can remove the bloatware and unwanted samsung crappy apps. Moreover, I believe that phiz recovery is the best out there and has all the wanted features. Lastly you can install the xposed framework to manipulate the stock rom's features and add as much things as you can :good::D

there are many ways to uninstall bloatware/system apps ..

from root explorer to titanium backup or else.. but the easiest way is "root uninstaller" from Google Play Store:

there is a pro version also if your are interested.

BUT BE CAREFUL AND DO BACKUP BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH UNINSTALLING SYSTEM APPS BECAUSE YOU MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. ;)
