I used Noble_Kernel_Auto-Root_N920T.tar.md5 and I don't have any of these issues...*knock on wood*

My Netflix is just broken...

Device lag

Anyone else having issues with the device response time? seems to take a while to complete tasks. for example when i open the email app it takes about a minute to show the new emails event though it shows in the notification panel

I was on rebuild3 and if my phone was locked for more than a couple of minutes it would just turn off completely. I flashed rebuild2 and that issue has gone away but now I have random reboots. Probably about 6 in the parts hour or so.

Using Kernel Auditor I've seen my big cores jump to 1896.. I saw 2100 once but its hard when switching back and forth to see. Tmobile, currently on rebuild2.

Hey everyone... A huge THANKS goes out to everyone who made root possible for the TMOBILE N5. I personally want to thank these guys for there work behind the scenes. They went through alot of bad flashes, reboots and issues. Testing kernels at a moments notice. They were relentless in their mission for root.
I don't have any kernel knowledge and was basically a lucky tag along. Thanks again
Big Mase, Devon Brown, Matt and JThrasher (josh). You guys were a big part in all of this!!![emoji109] [emoji106] [emoji109]

I don't see the "liboemcrypto.so" file under /system/vendor/lib section but i see it under /system/lib is that the same? Thank you.

After changing that file to .bak my Netflix now works...

Since I don't know what else this file affects, I will leave it there and if needed remove the .bak extension to put it back in use again (if needed).

you need to flash viper as a zip just do a quick google search

and if that doesn't work, you can try and change to incompatible in viper setting

Is it possible for you to provide a link to a .zip with Viper for us to flash? Thank you.

I'm on rebuild 3 have not had any reboots but if I look at cpu spy my cpu does not go over 1.5 ,it's max should be 2.1

If you download Kernel Auditor from Google Play.. go to CPU and set minimum on the big cores to 2100, what happens? If I do it to mine it shows all 4 running at 2100. I am surprised you have had no reboots.. lucky :)

If it is the same as on the Note 4, to fix Netflix you can go in and rename or delete this file. /system/lib/liboemcrypto.so Edit: Corrected file location to match the Note 5 location.
To fix Google Play Movies, I always had to launch it and play a movie while on the stock kernel. After that I could put the custom kernel back and it would continue to work. I am not sure if that is possible with this current setup on the Note 5 though.

Credits: @TEKHD for posting this fix originally for the Note 4.
