I know nothing about cwm, but why do you not use twrp? It works fine on our device.

Rooting with latest Lolipop

With the changes to Lolipop OTA's, and the issues of getting the latest update installed. What is the concensus on rooting again?
Guess one can always make a new Nandroid with the update then reroot.
Just curious of everyones thoughts.
Thanks

What you could do is just flash the 7.09.401.22 RUU, then get the OTA updates up to the latest software version and THEN root your phone because the HTC One won't be getting any more major software updates anyway, most likely we will still be getting security fixes

Thanks, close to what I ended up doing.
1) twrp backup and copy media etc to PC
2) lock bootloader
3) flash 7.17.631.7 ruu
4) get .35 ota
5) unlock bootloader
6) flash twrp
7) restore data only from twrp backup to restore apps
8) copy other data folders from PC

Now thinking about root!
Just a lot of work for an ota because of rooting.

Yup, I installed this update this morning. Wonder what is this update about... anyone knows?

I too just got this update LMY470.H11 on my HTC ONE m7 Google Play Edition. Apparently, these updates are directly coming from Google. Where can I find on google site the whole image for my system Android 5.1 LMY470.H11 for download?

Ok enough is enough. Look this is a development forum. Not some play ground for people to argue about updates to an almost dead device. IF you got the update then cool. IF not then either wait for it or flash one of the zips floating around.

I dont want to have to close this thread but if the childish bickering back and forth then I will close it.

Hey guys, let me step in here and clear up some things.

    1. As much as you may be excited about letting us know you have updated. Don't.
    • If you must say thanks, simply click the thanks button of the OP or the post that helped you, and move on.

    2. Keep all discussion in this thread on topic and helpful.
    • All post should add value to this thread and be helpful to the rest of the community in some way.

    3. Finally, if you are from a different site, don't be coming on XDA telling people they better mention your site.
    • XDA is not the place to advertise your site. Any posts of this nature will be considered as spam and will be removed.

Sorry for the interruption. Carry on :)
