Yesterday i saw a new update for desire HD, version 1.83.415.4, someone already tested?

Weird, i`m not getting any updates...can you tell how big it is and what it tells?

Hi, I've just received the newest OTA update from HTC, the new version is 1.83.415.4. I was wondering does anyone know what new features or fixes this update provides compared to my older 1.32.405.6.

First thing I've noticed is the phone is lot quicker. Seriously, I cant believe how much quicker my phone is now.

i got this on my unbranded phone yesterday here in Australia.

the phone is noticeably aster, i'd say between 10% - 20% in some cases. no idea what changed, still looking for a changelog.

judging from the time shown in the screenshot and a world time zone map i think he is in brazil somewhere, maybe east coast?
or greenland.... lol.

Judging from the size I'd say it's a new version of the last updated, 1.72. On a rooted stock ROM the only update I'm offered is to 1.32.405.6 from 1.32.405.3 that's in the UK.

    This is not update for unbranded DHDs. Unbranded ones have .405 in the third part of version number.

    Ever been to UK? Or anywhere else in the world for that matter? Ever noticed people traveling, working or living abroad, the mixture of cultures in big cities? There are TONS of Arabs, Jewish, Asians and others living in UK, other places in EU, US and around the world... Yeah, they do read and write also in their language with their characters... So what about all this don't YOU understand?

    It is possible data can get lost or corrupted in any flashing process, so best to use ROM Manager and CWM Recovery to backup your own ROM first, Titanium Backup or My Backup Root / Pro etc can save all those apps apk, data, and if rooted, sys apps & data.

    They will save backups to sdcard. After that, copy entire sdcard to pc for backup, just in case the sdcard needs reformatting (corruption / partitioning), you can then copy everything back later if you need.

    If you try flashing a new ROM and get stuck in a bootloop, you could then just use CWM Recovery to recover from a backuped ROM.
