So just now I was trying to open a link from Reddit and when YouTube Vanced opened there was a pop-up saying "Can't open link" and it says I'm not connected to the internet when I very clearly am. I closed the app, opened it directly and still not connected. I also tried restarting my phone but no luck. After looking at settings and everything I turned on incognito mode and it started working again.
So to sum up: the app is showing Not Connected to Internet unless Incognito is enabled. Anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it? Is it something to do with MicroG? Any help would be appreciated.
For reference, I am running the latest non-root version on a Pixel 2 XL running Android 10 and I have not changed or installed anything recently.

hey tim, all good thx! ehm about the "down problem" it's known and fixes are being discussed, and yeah for such isses i did put up things to the mirros so ppl can still download.

yes, and when the issues are fixed with newest base version. it's not like nothing happens in background we constantly try to put "the vanced touch" on newest versions of YT
at the moment it's totally broken, we are hitting multiple problems with newest version. well we could give u a version in which half of the beloved features don't work anymore,

working features. not talking about issues and bugs, thats another story which are often not related to the "vanced touch" but related to base version beeing buggy or "too old"

Does the magisk version support android 10? I tried to install the magisk ver in 10 but it just doesn't flash.
non root version working great for me on android 10
Im rooted but always I've used the non rooted version also on Pie
I'm on OOS Android 10 beta 1 and Magisk flashed, works just fine. I do have to add that I dirty flashed from Android 9 beta 17 and I didn't remove any modules beforehand (I know, I'm a true daredevil). I just had to flash the Magisk module (black version) again and it worked.
Yeah it worked for me in the beta version but in the stable version, it doesn't work.
If you don't want to disable auto updates for all apps, you can disable just YouTube.

Unfortunately, it do not work as espected, when the apps auto-updated themself (during night for me, while phone connected to charger) youtube always auto uodated itself!! So morning, I always find ytvd to be remplaced by official youtube!!
My solution, is to use sudoHide, now I am peacefully sleeping :laugh:
My Vanced YT sometimes (maybe once every other week, not that much) forces an update to official YT. When I notice this, I just go back to Play Store, uninstall the update and check whether auto update is still off (it usually is). I sleep peacefully as well
Good tip though, as sudoHide can perfectly hide YT from PS. But I've always been a bit wary about Xposed as it's a massive security risk. I guess I should give EdXposed (the module, not the other kind you can find on the net) a go but I'll wait until our device has a stable recovery situation on Android 10.

Before asking or posting anything, please read the first and second posts.
Always check the official Vanced website or XDA thread when downloading. Other sites are fake, contain advertisements (possibly even malware), and have older versions.
Vanced is a well-known modded version of the YouTube app with many features such as ad-blocking and background playback. Vanced also offers some extra features to enhance the user experience. The entire list is available below:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Since YouTube v14.41.52, Google has moved to split APKs format. The Android package installer doesn't support Split apks yet, so we are now using Vanced manager for installing all vanced apps. The steps to use the vanced manager are below:Especially for MIUI, there's a separate guide that can be accessed using this link. For all other devices, please follow below:
For Non-Root:
- Install Vanced Manager
- Open Vanced Manager and tap the blue arrow in the lower right corner.
- Begin installing Vanced microG. (Without which you won't be able to install Vanced (or Music Vanced) or use login)
- Then install Vanced (or Music Vanced), log in to your account and enjoy!
- Install Vanced Manager
- Open Vanced manager and tap on the "Magisk" icon to grant root permissions.
- Once you are in, begin installing Vanced (or Music Vanced).
Important information:
- We replaced our root installation with vanced manager, which directly mounts vanced on top of Youtube in the /data/app directory, making it easier and faster than before.
- Vanced will not block ads while casting since when you use the casting feature, it doesn't send the video from your phone to the Chromecast/TV. Instead, your phone acts like a remote controller for the youtube app in your Chromecast/TV. That is why the advertisement is displayed.
- Purchasing items in the non-root version of the app will not work as microG doesn't support it. Hence, it is preferable to use the original YouTube app or using the web version for any purchase.
- If your videos are lagging or the application starts to crash while watching live videos, please enable VP9 codec from codec override present under vanced settings. Google forced the ExoPlayer v2, which is highly experimental and unstable on unsupported devices.
- YouTube has dropped support for Android 5 (Lollipop) with v17.xx.xx. Hence, the minimum supported version is now Android 6 and above.
Known bugs:
- Swipe down gesture for refreshing home feed breaks randomly. It's an issue with litho that only Google can fix. There's nothing we can do to fix it. (Tap here to learn more)
- As of v16.16.38, casting won't work due to an upstream microG bug. (Tap here to learn more)
- On portrait/vertical videos, preferred quality options do not work.
- Swipe controls triggers when swiping either upwards or downwards to scroll through description or in live chat when in landscape mode.
- On new action bar layouts(server-sided feature), the new toggles won't work.
- Info cards toggle is broken (Temp fix: Disable it through your Google account settings. This setting disables info cards everywhere.)
- App crashes with
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerErrorwhile playing some video outside of vanced. - Manual codec override is broken and very experimental.
- Some users might face geographical ads on YouTube Shorts tab.
- SponsorBlock segments at the end of videos in playlists causes playback on the next video to start where the previous one ended.

Steps to do before reporting a bug:
- Do a search and see if it has already been reported
- Check that the bug is actually a Vanced bug and doesn't happen in the original YouTube.
- Make sure you are being enough descriptive of the problem.
- Take a logcat (Google search if you don't know how). Especially if the issue is a crash.
- Taking pictures of the problem doesn't hurt.
- If the report is vague (missing information), it will most likely just be ignored. If you are not going to show any effort in resolving the problem, why should I?
- Vanced exact version number (Do NOT say latest).
- Download link used to download Vanced.
- Installation method (whether user SAI or Vanced Manager)
- Device.
- ROM (optional may not help).
- Any applied Substratum/swift overlays.
- Logs if there are any crashes/force closes (upload to Pastebin or hastebin or katbin) and paste the link of it with your report. [Check here to know how to get logs]
- A brief description of the issue
- Any installed mods to the system.
- Test your issue on the stock youtube app
