It is definitely nothin related to the storm .. cause we have strong signal but no lock .. also it is a software problem cuz we all were getting locks indoor/outdoor the past few days .. on jelly bean 4.1 .. this is a screenshot taken after 5 min .. showing strong signal but no lock ..

I had the same issue and same scenario.

I hope I don't get banned for reposting my own post from here,

GUYSSS!!! I've found the fix from this thread. Turn off your Google Location Services!!!!

Turning off "Google location service" under Settings -> "Location Services" -- totally fixed the issue for me. Now getting a good lock in few seconds again. (even inside)

How is the Wi-Fi on your piece?

    Any tips for me?

I am with Straight Talk and one day I used 255MBs at home becoz this frikkin phone does not hold a Wifi connection.
I thought i was on Wifi but it kept connecting to Mobile data.
(Straight talk has a 100MB limit/day b4 they warn and then kick me out)
My wife's Razr's wifi/GPS/everything works like a charm (wish there was a RazrMaxx GSM unlocked version)

The Wi-Fi on this phone is the best I've used. Case in point.

I do regular backups on my phone. I was able to transfer 7+GB via Wi-Fi FTP on my Galaxy Nexus at speeds of 3Mbps upload, whereas with my old HTC Inspire 4G, I used to get a pathetic 500kpbs upload. If you are having these many problems, I'd recommend a better ROM, kernel, or radio.

Back on topic, just got off the phone with Google support. The rep I spoke to said he was not aware of these issues, but then I told him to Google it. :D He said he saw all the reports, and that he would report to his superiors.

I emailed a few tech news outlets (Engadget, Neowin, XDA), so I hope this gets some traction.

The solution folks is to go to the settings and under locations service settings turn off Google Location Services.

Although this is true, it's at best a workaround and not a solution. Turning off GLS breaks some app's ability to update as they rely on cell tower triangulation rather than GPS.
