Buried deep inside my mind
What's messed is that I took a rogers phone, unlocked it, activated it with telus and then flashed and rooted it with 024. I'm wondering how this is going to work out.

Ahhh bloody SE...

Hey!!!
So we have reached week 38 of 2010 and still no signs of our expected firmware update.
Even worst, got specs from SE, and lots of bad news:
First of all, no 16m colors on X10 even if x10 mini does...
No Flash integration and no mention of it nowhere.
No flash for camera, we are stuck with a "light"mode.(damn them to hell)
Mediascape issues remains on certain phones(?Arf, I dont get that...)

It is now official, no 2.2 froyo on Xperia X10. Will never reach 3.0 :(
We will get 2.1x and that's it.
I wanna scream.

Even if I got myself a "special" Motorolla Droid, I just hate to see so much of my friends stuck with a great device hosting a poor OS.(SE, you should get raped by a horny bull for that one).
A lot of clients(formerly me too) got played by SE.
most of them are stuck with a 2-3 years contract with a phone that will be completely irrelevant and non-evolutive by next spring.
Meaning they will all have to buy new phones if they want to be able to get a nice smart phone experience and carry their contract to term.
Wich brings me to the following point.
Did any of you keep their SE booklet from the package?
My lawyers(well not mine, but the guys I work with) found something in there that could actually prove to our advantage:
SE is actually in breach of contract with us and the carriers, because of the following point:
They have a written contract with us that promised us an Android evolutive OS.
It actually says in there(wich is why I got an x10 in the first place) that the phone would follow on Android.
Same promise was made to Rogers in Canada(Yes they are pissed too cause they are stuck with really angry clients who now are stuck with this future paper holder/cat toy that will most likely collect dust by next summer).
To Rogers eyes, SE is in breach of contract with them, because they made promises they never delievered and now a bunch of clients are building a collective case against Roger and SE, hoping to get SE to either follow up on their promises or simply gives us some sort of compensation...
See where I'm going with that?
My lawyer friends all agree, we have a solid case against SE if we all pool together to make one consolidated case against the maker of X10.
So any opinions on that?

So, to all of us out there, let's all unite and see what kind of havok we can stir!
We will not be slave to companies who's sole endeavors are to f**k us over for cash. I say enough and let's fight for our rights to be treated like real clients.

Peace!

Nope dude.
Search for yourself on Google.
You will easily find what I'm talking about, thus proving my point.
And fyi jimbo, I'm an Android consultant for a Canadian company and started programming years ago when you where probably still feeding on your mother's milk.
Lose the pointless attitude, it aint becoming of a grown ass man.
And if you still want to call people who say stuff you dont like liars, go ahead son, I'll still sleep like a baby.
As opposed to you, I'm actually trying to solve this, not just ***** and then go home and not do sh-t.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

lol. I nominate this post for "Ridiculously Hypocritical Post of the Year".

Unless you have unassailable proof that Sony Ericsson has announced 2.2 isn't coming, you're just another hog in the pen, squeaking for no one to listen.

Anyway, it is not official from SE that they will not release Android 2.2 or include 16M colours with upcoming Android 2.1 upgrade.

I don't think they are so stupid to enable HD Recording and limit screen colours to only 65Km, all these are just rumours so I don't believe anything now till the official release is out.

You do realize that the video recording capabilities will not be affected by the screen's colors, right? And that unless you're recording a gradient, you won't even notice the colors, right?

I feel like I should be angry, when in reality, things ain't so bad. Yesterday, I turned the screen up to full brightness, opened some pics I took in Mediascape and fell in love with the screen again. It's really not that bad.

Bahahaha....i love people who say this. Let me guess, you are using the 2010 roadmap as your "evidence"? Get this clear....the 2010 roadmap is just that - a roadmap for what they are doing in 2010. It says nothing about what they are planning in 2011. that would be included in another roadmap. Guess what it would be called? 2011 roadmap.

so no, it is NOT official.

+1

Record a video, transfer it to your computer which has a screen capable of more colors. Ta da!

How many colors your screen can display has nothing to do with how many colors the camera can capture.

Our screens will display more colors someday, but it ain't so bad now is it?

No one has yet, or this forum wouldn't be ****ting itself in anticipation.

SEUK confirmed yesterday "before the end of September", and SECanada said Q4.

well, we really hope SE can speed up their update process a little faster. then everyone here will stop whining.
