Ahhh bloody SE...
Hey!!!
So we have reached week 38 of 2010 and still no signs of our expected firmware update.
Even worst, got specs from SE, and lots of bad news:
First of all, no 16m colors on X10 even if x10 mini does...
No Flash integration and no mention of it nowhere.
No flash for camera, we are stuck with a "light"mode.(damn them to hell)
Mediascape issues remains on certain phones(?Arf, I dont get that...)
It is now official, no 2.2 froyo on Xperia X10. Will never reach 3.0

We will get 2.1x and that's it.
I wanna scream.
Even if I got myself a "special" Motorolla Droid, I just hate to see so much of my friends stuck with a great device hosting a poor OS.(SE, you should get raped by a horny bull for that one).
A lot of clients(formerly me too) got played by SE.
most of them are stuck with a 2-3 years contract with a phone that will be completely irrelevant and non-evolutive by next spring.
Meaning they will all have to buy new phones if they want to be able to get a nice smart phone experience and carry their contract to term.
Wich brings me to the following point.
Did any of you keep their SE booklet from the package?
My lawyers(well not mine, but the guys I work with) found something in there that could actually prove to our advantage:
SE is actually in breach of contract with us and the carriers, because of the following point:
They have a written contract with us that promised us an Android evolutive OS.
It actually says in there(wich is why I got an x10 in the first place) that the phone would follow on Android.
Same promise was made to Rogers in Canada(Yes they are pissed too cause they are stuck with really angry clients who now are stuck with this future paper holder/cat toy that will most likely collect dust by next summer).
To Rogers eyes, SE is in breach of contract with them, because they made promises they never delievered and now a bunch of clients are building a collective case against Roger and SE, hoping to get SE to either follow up on their promises or simply gives us some sort of compensation...
See where I'm going with that?
My lawyer friends all agree, we have a solid case against SE if we all pool together to make one consolidated case against the maker of X10.
So any opinions on that?
So, to all of us out there, let's all unite and see what kind of havok we can stir!
We will not be slave to companies who's sole endeavors are to f**k us over for cash. I say enough and let's fight for our rights to be treated like real clients.
Peace!
